While my Waldorf dolls are handmade, the doll sewing pattern will allow you to use a sewing machine, if you prefer.

While using this tutorial for creating arms and legs with wool you’ll need no special puppet tools. A sushi stick will be enough.

You can make a set of bloomers + dress using the same fabric and you can combine fabrics  of different texture and color.

I sew bloomers for my Waldorf dolls using a pattern by which the back part is slightly higher than the front.

Dolls are happy! I’m happy too and touched when I see kids’ little hands putting bloomers on a doll. This process of a child dressing up a doll makes develop fine motor skills and prepare hands for writing.
